New patients can't get through? Calls slipping away?
Let AI book appointments and run red-flag triage
Morning check-in rush, lunch breaks, after hours, weekends — AI answers every new-patient call, clarifies the reason for the visit, checks insurance, prompts emergencies per red-flag rules, and sends the conversation summary straight to your front desk and the doctor's phone.

Every missed call is a new patient slipping away
Family practice in LA's Chinese community is fiercely competitive — a new patient's first call decides who they choose, and a 30-second busy signal sends them to the next clinic.
New patients can't get through and call the next clinic
A new patient's first appointment call is the one that matters most. A 30-second busy signal or a jump to voicemail usually means they're gone. Family practice is one of the most competitive categories in LA.
Front desk is busy with check-ins and no one picks up
The moment a clinic opens, patients pile up at the front desk and incoming calls go unanswered. By the time things slow down at midday and someone calls back, the patient has already booked elsewhere.
After-hours, lunch, and weekend calls slip through
Late afternoon, lunch breaks, the occasional weekend clinic — these are the windows when patients call most, but traditional voicemail rarely keeps them, and even when it does, no one calls back on time.
AI catches every appointment call for you
Not a cold recorded menu — an AI assistant front desk that understands, answers, remembers clearly, and knows how to triage.
Book appointments and ask the reason for the visit
Is the caller a new patient, here for an annual physical, or dealing with acute symptoms? In one call the AI clarifies visit type, a rough description of symptoms, and whether they're coming in person — then sends a clean appointment card to your phone.
Screen for emergencies by red-flag rules
Chest pain, difficulty breathing, sudden severe headache, severe allergic reaction — the AI follows medical-compliance rules and immediately says "please call 911 or go to the nearest ER," without leaving the caller waiting on the line.
Handles English, Mandarin, and Cantonese
An elderly new immigrant who doesn't understand English, a caller with a Taishan accent asking about a cold, a second-generation patient asking about an annual checkup in English — the AI switches between Mandarin, Cantonese, and English automatically, the most common language mix for LA family practices serving the Chinese community.
Push new-patient leads to your phone instantly
When a caller wants to book a new-patient visit, annual physical, or Medicare AWV, the AI pushes that appointment intent to the front desk and the doctor's phone the moment they hang up — so you can confirm before they call the next clinic.
What the AI won't do — we're upfront about it
Healthcare is a heavily regulated industry. The AI only does what's legally and compliantly allowed, and routes everything else to the doctor or nurse.
No diagnosing over the phone, no prescriptions, no specific medication dosages — those require a doctor seeing the patient in person. The AI only handles appointments and red-flag prompts.
No issuing medical certificates, no interpreting lab results, no assessing insurance reimbursement rules — the AI notes the request and routes it to the front desk or the doctor's phone.
Medication refills should go through the patient portal or the nurse line during business hours; the AI does not handle refills directly over the phone.
For any suspected emergency, the AI always tells the caller to call 911 or go to the ER — no detours, no collecting details first.

Frequently asked questions
Is the demo a real family doctor's office?
No. "Kangyuan Family Practice" is a demo we built specifically so you can experience what it feels like for your patients to call your clinic after Aflame AI is set up. Leave your number and the AI calls you back as this clinic. The clinic name, doctor name, and price ranges are all just for the demo.
Will the AI give random medical advice over the phone?
No. This is a core rule in how we designed it. The AI only does three things: (1) help the caller book a time so the doctor can see them; (2) follow a standardized red-flag protocol to tell callers which symptoms mean going to the ER or calling 911 immediately; (3) capture contact info. Diagnosis, medication, and lab interpretation are never answered — the AI consistently says "the doctor will discuss that during your in-person visit."
Can the AI really recognize emergencies?
The AI recognizes emergencies against a trained red-flag list (chest pain, difficulty breathing, sudden severe headache, one-sided weakness, severe allergic reaction, major bleeding, confusion, and more). When it detects one, it immediately says "please call 911 or go to the nearest ER," stops asking questions, and doesn't leave the caller waiting. The AI doesn't replace the doctor's judgment — it only does first-line triage.
Will callers immediately know it's an AI?
What callers care about is whether they can book and whether their symptoms need urgent attention, not telling real from AI. We've tuned tone, pauses, and response speed to approach a human front-desk standard. Rather than wondering, just leave your number on this page, let the AI call you back, and listen for yourself before deciding.
Our clinic has specific appointment rules and an insurance whitelist — can the AI be configured for all that?
Yes. At Starter go-live, you tell us the insurance companies you accept, new-patient/follow-up visit lengths, available appointment windows, insurance you don't accept, your refill process, and whether emergencies route to the nurse line or straight to 911 — and we configure all of it into the AI reception logic.
How long until we go live? Is it a hassle?
Starter typically takes 3 business days. You tell us your main services, accepted insurance, appointment rules, common caller questions, and emergency process — we handle configuration, connecting the number, and testing. You don't have to touch any of the technology.
Can we use our clinic's current phone number?
In most cases we can forward your existing number to the AI system, so callers still dial your original clinic number. It depends on your current carrier, and we'll handle the details for you.
