Every missed call is a lost case
Anxious new clients who can't get through dial the next firm, and RFE / court-date countdown clients are especially sensitive.
New clients can't reach you while you're in court
A court hearing ties up your whole morning, your phone is on silent, and a new client's inquiry drops straight to voicemail. USCIS RFE deadline-driven clients are especially sensitive — a few unanswered hours and they call another firm.
Deadline-driven matters miss their window
An I-485 RFE 87-day response window, an urgent Notice to Appear hearing, the week before H-1B Cap season — these callers are anxious and in a hurry, and a busy line means a lost case.
70% of calls are matters you don't handle
An immigration firm takes 30 calls a day, and 20 of them ask about criminal defense / bankruptcy / IP — work the firm doesn't do, but the client calls to screen first. Having an attorney personally field these calls is pure wasted time.
AI that catches every case inquiry
Not a cold recorded menu — an AI assistant front desk that understands, answers, takes clear notes, and knows the legal boundaries.
Take inquiries and identify the general matter type
Is the caller asking about an immigration visa, a business contract, or a PI matter? If immigration, is it H-1B / green card / naturalization? The AI sorts out the direction in one call and sends a tidy lead card to your phone.
Flag urgent matters first
Visa-denial countdowns, an approaching court date, a Notice to Appear, a domestic-violence restraining order — the AI recognizes these by your urgency rules, flags them the moment the call ends, and pushes them to the attorney's phone so you catch them before the deadline.
English, Mandarin, and Cantonese
A new-immigrant elder who can't follow English, a second-generation ABC asking about a green card, a Taishan immigrant asking about naturalization — the AI switches automatically between Mandarin, Cantonese, and English, the most common client language mix for LA Chinese law firms.
Auto-refer matters your firm doesn't handle
A caller asks about criminal / family / PI while your focus is immigration and business? Per your referral rules, the AI politely guides the client to leave their number, explains the firm doesn't handle it directly but a partner attorney can, and keeps them from drifting to an unfamiliar firm.
What the AI won't do — stated plainly
Law is a highly regulated profession, so the AI only does what's lawful and compliant; everything else goes to the licensed attorney themselves.
No legal advice on the phone, no assessment of whether a case can be won, no predicting outcomes — those require an attorney to review the materials first. The AI only screens matter type and books the consultation.
It won't press for a visa number / Alien Number / SSN / EIN / policy number or other sensitive details on the phone — only the general matter type and rough timeline, to protect client privacy.
It won't promise to transfer you to a live attorney on the spot — when the attorney is in court or in a meeting, the AI flags urgency so the attorney can call back.
An attorney-client relationship does not form before a retainer is signed, and the AI won't get into specific case strategy on the phone.

Frequently asked questions
Is the demo a real attorney?
No. "Huaxin Law Firm" is a demo we built specifically so you can experience what it feels like for a client to call your firm after AflameAI is installed. Leave your number and the AI calls you back as this demo firm. The firm name, attorney names, and fee ranges are all for demonstration.
Will the AI give random legal advice on the phone?
No. This is the core red line for the legal industry. The AI does only three things: ① find out what type of matter the caller has; ② assess by the urgency rules whether the attorney should call back immediately; ③ collect contact details and book the initial consultation. It never answers specific legal advice, case predictions, or visa eligibility assessments, and uniformly says "Attorney Zhou will give you a definite answer once they've reviewed your materials at the consultation."
Can the AI really prioritize an urgent matter like an RFE countdown?
Yes. The AI recognizes urgency by trained rules (visa-denial countdowns, an approaching court date, a Notice to Appear, a domestic-violence protective order, being contacted by police, and so on), and the moment it detects one it flags urgency and immediately pushes it to the attorney's phone, so the client isn't left waiting on the line. But the AI does no case assessment — only first-line triage.
My firm only does immigration, not PI or family law. How does the AI handle those calls?
At go-live you tell us the matter types your firm focuses on / doesn't take, plus your network of of-counsel partner attorneys. When the AI gets a matter your firm doesn't do, it politely guides the client: "We don't handle that directly, but a partner attorney can — let me take down your situation and refer you," keeping the client inside your firm's partner network instead of losing them to an unfamiliar firm.
If a client describes their case on the phone, will the AI leak sensitive information?
On the phone the AI only asks for the general matter type and rough timeline — it won't proactively press for an SSN / Alien Number / visa number / policy number or other sensitive details. If the client volunteers them, it notes them down, and the call summary is stored through an encrypted channel in your firm's private dashboard, never shared with other clients.
How fast can it go live? Is it a hassle?
The Starter plan typically goes live in 3 business days. You tell us your focus matter types, the matters you don't take, your partner attorney network, your urgency process, and common client questions, and we handle the configuration, number setup, and testing — you don't touch any technology.
Can I use my firm's current phone number?
In most cases your existing number can forward to the AI system, so clients still dial your original firm number. It depends on your current carrier, and we'll handle it for you.
